Hi! I'm Janelle, I love the arts and my interest in photography began at an early age. My dad let me borrow his professional digital camera to capture portraits over 15 years ago. Once I snapped my first shot, I was hooked.

I live in Lake County, Illinois and graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a Bachelor's Degree in Radio and Television Production. While there, I won a third place National Student Emmy Award for a TV show I helped produce on PBS.

​

I'm proud to have won the 2014 Chicago Travel and Adventure Show photo contest. Samantha Brown, from the Travel Channel, chose my photo as the winner out of 165 entries. I won a vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

​

Currently, I'm the staff photographer for The Rave/Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee, TheLocalTourist.com and 3D Rockstars.

​

Besides weddings and portraits, I've captured various well-known artists including Shakira, Luke Bryan and Ozzy Osbourne. You can check out my music photography website HERE.

I've been published in numerous print and online websites including USA Today, MSN, Chicago Tribune, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and the Northwest Times of Indiana.

 

I also volunteer my photography services for the Lake County Honor Flight. I've been on eight trips with this incredible non-profit organization to Washington, D.C. to honor our local veterans.

Aside from photography, I worked in radio for nearly two decades as a promotions director, on-air personality and commercial voice-over artist.

 

I adore aviation and am a student pilot pursuing my private pilot’s license. I also love traveling and have visited 38 countries thus far.
